Candidate RequirementsCandidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will support the HPC team by developing and maintaining architectural direction and methods for HPC systems, including compute, memory, interconnect, network, and storage architectures to meet mission requirements. The role includes supporting the development, test, and integration of commercial and custom HPC solutions, providing rigorous end‑to‑end systems engineering services throughout the HPC development and acquisition life‑cycle.
Specific Activities- Develop test and configuration management strategies tailored for each system.
- Contribute to and/or deliver systems engineering documentation at program and system levels.
- Propose and evolve HPC architecture concepts, ensuring consistency with strategic plans and vendor roadmaps.
- Analyze and document alternatives among competing architectures.
- Justify architectural elements based on mission applications and proxies.
- Draft architecture documentation and diagrams illustrating features and functions.
- Specify and recommend HPC system aspects: processor/accelerator technology, interconnect/network performance, memory capacity/bandwidth, storage hierarchy, HPC‑facing network structure.
- Establish, expand, and focus mission application performance of each architecture, supported by abstract modeling.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and CAMEO.
- CompTIA Security+ and/or CompTIA Network+ certifications.
Salary range for this position in Maryland: $120,000 to $200,000, determined based on qualifications and experience.
