Mid/Sr Scrum Master

Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Mid/Sr Scrum Master in Intel Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). The role involves working with a high-performing Agile team using Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support a large, complex, fast-paced technical program. Program execution follows Dev Ops best practices, with Behavior Driven Development (BDD), test automation, and comprehensive collaboration tools. The Scrum Master will facilitate team dynamics, coach Agile practices, remove impediments, and help deliver value to the customer.

Primary

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate self‑organizing team(s) to ensure progress is being made against Program Increment (PI) commitments.
  • Protect the team from scope creep during execution of the PI.
  • Remove impediments and coordinate with the Release Train Engineers on implementing solutions.
  • Help team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate.
  • Coach, support, and enforce Scrum process and other process rules.
  • Ensure that the team has a clear understanding of the Definition of Done and how to meet it.
  • Coordinate with other teams on Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and communicate status to management.
  • Work with the Product Owner(s) to review and prioritize features.
  • Lead and facilitate SAFe ceremonies to include Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and PI Planning.
  • Work with Product Owner(s) and System Engineers to develop User Stories to meet the Feature acceptance criteria.
  • Maintain and generate information radiators for the teams.
  • Collect and share team metrics, determine when new metrics are needed, and develop improvements.
  • Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles with the goal of continuous improvement.
  • Observe team dynamics, recognize strengths and weaknesses of individual contributors, and coach the team to drive productivity.
  • Promote teamwork to achieve Sprint goals.
  • Lead teams towards Agile maturity.
  • Create a fun, sharing, and learning environment.
  • Experiment with ideas to improve delivery, including pair‑programming and cross‑functional training.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a Scrum Master for a software development or similar technical team.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent agile certification (e.g., PMI‑ACP).
  • Hands‑on experience with agile project management tools such as Jira, Version One, Rallye, or IBM RTC.
  • Experience working on a large, technical program with diverse systems in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and time‑management skills.
  • Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with large software systems including hardware integration and test.
  • Experience working with multi‑disciplinary technical development teams.
  • Experience using SAFe and Kanban to improve flow on support teams.
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and key‑management technologies.
  • Experience affecting change in organizations pursuing agile adoption.
  • Experience applying test automation, test‑driven development, continuous integration, and continuous deployment to achieve built‑in quality.
