Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

• Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the protection of information system assets against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
• Monitor and analyze Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) to identify and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and SSP requirements.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and scans, including user accounts, application access, file systems, and external interfaces.
• Develop, test, and support security tools including firewalls, IDS, antivirus solutions, and software deployment tools.
• Research, evaluate, and implement new security technologies and solutions.
• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures across systems, applications, and networks.
• Support security documentation, including configuration management and SSP maintenance.
• Communicate security incidents, alerts, and risks to appropriate stakeholders.
• Support security awareness and training initiatives.

• Experience supporting information system security programs in classified or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of System Security Plans (SSP), security policy implementation, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and security assessment processes.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS technologies, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
• Understanding of system configuration and document management processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

• High School Diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years of relevant Information System Security experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline and ten (10) years of relevant experience.

Certification in compliance with the requirements of the DoD 8570 IAT Level I or higher is required.

Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph.
