Essential Job FunctionsThe Project Manager I serves as a strategic liaison among business units, technology teams, and the Project Management Office (PMO), blending business analysis with end-to-end project management to ensure technology initiatives are clearly defined, aligned to organizational goals, and delivered effectively. The scope of this role spans small‑scale enhancements through medium‑sized projects. As a trusted partner to business leaders, the incumbent is responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements, analyzing complex workflows, and recommending technology solutions with measurable impact.
The role guides projects through the full lifecycle from discovery through deployment, with a consistent focus on schedule adherence and risk mitigation. This position is also a key contributor to PMO maturity. Responsibilities include supporting intake and prioritization governance, maintaining portfolio data integrity, and advancing the standardization of methodologies, templates, and best practices that strengthen the overall project delivery framework.
Strong communication skills are essential, as this role facilitates collaboration across executives, stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors. Equally important is the analytical capability to translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions.
Business Analysis
Requirement Development: Lead elicitation sessions with stakeholders to define business problems, functional requirements, and technical constraints.
Process Engineering: Analyze current‑state workflows and design future‑state processes to improve operational efficiency and system utilization.
Documentation: Create high‑fidelity business requirement documents (BRD), user stories, and technical specifications that align with judicial technology standards.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and oversee UAT cycles, ensuring that delivered solutions meet the original business intent and quality benchmarks.
Project Management
Project Execution: Manage the full lifecycle of small to medium‑sized IT projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and according to scope.
Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for project teams, vendors, and judicial leadership to maintain alignment and momentum.
Schedule &
Risk Management:
Develop detailed project plans and proactively identify, mitigate, and report on risks and dependencies.
Status Communication: Provide concise, high‑impact status updates and dashboards tailored for senior staff.
PMO Support & Portfolio Management
Governance Advancement: Assist in defining and socializing PMO core operations, including the 4‑step project request and evaluation process.
Intake & Demand Management: Facilitate the project intake gateway, vetting new requests for completeness and accuracy.
Portfolio Reporting: Contribute to the development of portfolio dashboards, KPI tracking, and executive reporting.
Tool Optimization: Support the implementation and refinement of project management software and AI‑driven insights for project tracking.
Compliance: Monitor compliance with established project management methodologies and governance practices.
Project Management Support: Assist project managers in planning, resourcing, and tracking larger initiatives.
Stakeholder Management
Relationship Orchestration: Act as a primary bridge between high court leadership, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure project transparency and alignment.
