Systems Admin ; CBB Security Clearance

Position: Systems Admin 2 (CBB) with Security Clearance
Job Description
- Creates, and maintains Red Hat Linux virtual machines running in a cloud infrastructure (Amazon AWS).

- Evaluates systems for IAVA compliance and applies necessary security updates/patches.

- Performs command line system administration tasks on virtual machines.

- Handles regular system backups and periodically tests backups for functionality.

- Communicates with developers and dev ops team members to provide system administration support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Apply patches and upgrades.

- Troubleshoot server issues.

- Administer customer accounts.

- Deploy monitoring tools.

- Deploy applications and tools.

- Assist with escalated customer tickets.

- Installation and cabling of equipment Required Skills
- Linux command line system administration (CentOS, Red Hat, Amazon Linux, or equivalent) - Experience applying system updates via yum or equivalent patching repository
- Experience working within a cloud environment a plus (Amazon AWS, Azure, or equivalent cloud infrastructure with virtual machines) - Experience or knowledge of Red Seal Network Mapping tool a plus
- Knowledge of software deployed on systems a plus but not required (Elasticsearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Nifi) Desired Skills
- Syslog/Nx Log
- Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
- Scripting experience (Python/Perl) Additional Details This Position requires a TS/SCI clearance with an NSA FS Poly. Company Overview:
