The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer (Level
3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, optimizing, and managing complex Department of Defense (DoD) communication systems and networks. This role requires advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and network security protocols, as well as expertise in CISCO Routers and Switches.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize complex network architectures to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Manage large-scale networks, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
  • Monitor network performance and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Configure and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols such as OSPF.
  • Manage and maintain crypto devices within the network infrastructure.
  • Ensure network security compliance with DoD standards and regulations.
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols and practices.
  • Work closely with other IT teams to resolve network-related issues.
  • Provide Level 3 support for network incidents and outages.
Qualifications
  • BS or BA degree in Engineering, an Engineering Discipline, or in a Technical Discipline is desired.
  • At least seven (7) years of practical engineering and design experience in DoD communication systems and networks.
  • Expertise in designing and optimizing complex networks.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and network security protocols.
  • Proficiency in CISCO Routers and Switches.
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols like OSPF.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Security+ certification.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
  • TS/SCI Clearance.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
