Senior Systems Engineer
Glia Cell is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise to sustain critical mission‑related software and systems on a large government contract.
LocationAnnapolis Junction, MD / Partial Telework (up to 16 hours per week).
CompensationThe salary range is $170,000 to $260,000. SIGN‑ON BONUS eligible. Salary determined by experience, skills, education and certifications.
Key Requirements- Active or re‑instatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline (or five (5) years of additional Systems Engineer experience may substitute).
- Works well independently as well as on a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Background in compliance and Kubernetes.
- Strong grasp of Kubernetes networking, configuration, and deployment across secure environments.
- Proven ability to support compliance‑driven sustainment activities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent collaboration skills with both technical team members and mission stakeholders.
- Solid documentation and tracking skills using enterprise tools.
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving security and mission needs.
- Experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools such as Terraform, Salt, and Ansible.
- Familiarity with Rancher, Helm, and advanced Kubernetes features.
- Working knowledge of observability tools like Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Grafana.
- Security+ (CWIP) or equivalent certification preferred.
