Job Description
Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Technical/Functional Expert (Network) to provide advanced network engineering support across enterprise environments. This role focuses on system-level design, security architecture, and performance optimization within complex, multi-site infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced network engineering support, including system-level design and architecture
- Design and implement secure network architectures and enterprise security boundaries
- Support datacenter virtualization and large-scale CAN/MAN/LAN environments
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
- Implement and manage IPSEC VPNs and secure communication channels
- Analyze network traffic using packet capture tools for troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide expert-level support for network infrastructure issues
- Develop system diagrams and present technical solutions to stakeholders
- Collaborate across teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance network operations
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (five additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering, including LAN architecture, monitoring, security, and protection
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (or equivalent)
- Extensive experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC VPNs
U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants. All applicants and employees are subject to random drug testing in accordance with Executive Order 12564. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph.
Certification Requirements: DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.
Active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph required.
