DevOps Engineer - FS Poly Annapolis Junction, MD

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to support the full development lifecycle from architectural design to deployment. The engineer will build and maintain a release pipeline, automate deployments across various environments, and serve as a technical lead for an Agile team. This role requires a holistic view of the service development and deployment architecture, with a focus on automation and system optimization.

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 6/7/8)
• Experience with Git and version control best practices
• At least 5 years of experience in an Agile development environment
• Experience with AWS cloud and virtualized servers in a PaaS environment
• Experience with Python, Ruby, Perl, or Java
• Proficiency in Dev Ops or Site Reliability Engineering methodologies

• Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment
• Experience with caching technologies (Memcache, Redis)
• Knowledge of MySQL and Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with Puppet and Ansible
• Experience with Windows system administration
