Leidos has numerous opportunities for Dev Ops Engineers within our Intelligence Sector's, Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) Our talented team is at the forefront in Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, Analytical Methods and Modeling, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), and Cryptographic Key Management.
Job SummaryLeidos is seeking highly experienced Dev Ops Engineers to support the development and evolution of a Kubernetes-native platform used to orchestrate and deploy workloads within its own cluster. This role combines backend architecture, and cloud-native technologies, requiring deep technical expertise and cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities include- Own and advance a Kubernetes-native workload orchestration application.
- Develop and maintain containerized microservices
- Support infrastructure provisioning and automation via Ansible and IaC tools.
- Implement cloud-native components leveraging Go, Type Script, and Python.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure operational excellence and system integration.
- Improve platform observability and event-driven system performance.
- Maintain robust documentation and enforce internal development standards.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Level 0 - Bachelors and 2-7 years of experience
- Level 1 - Bachelors and 7-14 years of experience
- Level 2 - Bachelors and 14-20 years of experience
- Level 3 - Bachelors and 20 or more years of experience
- Expertise in infrastructure provisioning, Ansible CM, and cloud-native ecosystems.
- Proficiency with at least one of the following languages Go (Golang), Type Script, or Python,
- Strong experience with Kubernetes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows.
- Exceptional debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Clearance Required:
Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Bamboo, Fisheye) and Agile/CI workflows.
- Familiarity with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Linux/UNIX administration and SIGINT dataflows.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, NiFi, MetalLB, MinIO in production.
- Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and Rancher Suite (Harvester, Longhorn, Kube Virt).
- Infrastructure automation using cloud-init or Terraform.
