Job Description & How to Apply Below

Deffet Group, Inc., is pleased to have been retained by Ingleside to conduct an executive search for the Executive Director of its Bay Woods of Annapolis community.

Ingleside is the parent organization of three premier, not-for-profit Life Plan Communities, , and Foundation within the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Ingleside also offers management services to high-quality senior living providers and Bay Woods of Annapolis, a premier continuing care retirement community (CCRC) offering a distinctive waterfront retirement lifestyle for adults aged 60 and over, has recently secured its management services.

Located on the scenic shores of Chesapeake Bay, Bay Woods is uniquely structured as a resident-owned cooperative, providing members with both the benefits of home ownership and the convenience of a full continuum of senior living and healthcare services. In addition to spacious independent living residences, Bay Woods offers assisted living, and memory care options, ensuring residents have access to personalized care as their needs evolve.

Ingleside is seeking an Executive Director (ED) to lead the Bay Woods community in meeting the needs of the next generation. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Ingleside, this individual will be a hands-on, articulate leader who has a deep passion for senior living and proven ability in developing and implementing strategic plans.

The successful candidate for this position will have a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) and ideally, a minimum of seven years' progressive leadership experience in senior living or healthcare, with at least three years in a CCRC/LPC. A deep understanding of and previous experience with resident-led governance is highly desirable. Our finalist will embrace a culture of wellness, inclusivity, and freedom of choice and ensure the highest quality of care and services across all areas.

They will be highly visible and interactive with residents and collaboratively lead a high-performing team, prioritizing mentoring and continued growth for team members. A NHA license is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This is an outstanding leadership opportunity for an individual who wants to lead a welcoming, forward-looking community committed to providing the highest quality of lifestyle and care to all those served and to continue to build upon the organization’s stellar reputation for providing an exceptional lifestyle in a dynamic environment.
