Position: Bills of Material (BOM) / Inventory Coordinator - Frederick, MD

We are looking for someone to join our world-class operations team delivering high-quality products for government and non-government projects. This individual will be joining our production team and will focus his/her talents on the work center responsible for the production of RF racking/cabling and delivering system support devices. They will be responsible for executing against our existing build and delivery processes.

Working within our continuous improvement program, it will be important for this individual to use LEAN practices to help meet our customers’ requirements. This position is full-time, on-site at our new production facility in Frederick, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate production of voice communication systems, including complex rack and system assemblies, to ensure on-time delivery and efficient manufacturing execution. Create, maintain, and control SAP master data, including item masters, bills of material (BOMs), routings, labor standards, operations, material masters, and production schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy and alignment between SAP data, engineering documentation, drawings, sales orders, and government regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, Purchasing, Inventory, and warehouse teams to ensure material, resources, and configuration readiness.
  • Review system and rack drawings and sales orders to verify production readiness and support accurate warehouse material pulls.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory, configuration, and production variances. Implement approved engineering changes and update item master and BOMs accordingly.
  • Coordinate BOM and SKU approvals and manage material availability to prevent or mitigate shortages.
  • Monitor production progress, identify risks and delays, communicate status and priorities to management, and support issue resolution.
  • Assist in management of inventory levels and analyze planning, production, and variance data to generate monthly inventory, variance reports.
  • Support project coordination, including purchase requisitions, internal orders, project number setup, and DELTEK project coordination.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • BS in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, or SAP
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, including bills of material (BOMs), routings, item/material masters, and production scheduling.
  • Experience supporting the production of complex assemblies in a regulated environment (Air Traffic Control or similar preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience investigating and resolving inventory, cost, or production variances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • In order to be considered, U.S. Citizenship or permanent work authorization is required.

The total compensation for this position is $21.00-$29.00 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
