Overview
A major Baltimore hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager, RN to lead a 36-bed Neuroscience Unit within a certified Primary Stroke Center. This role ensures safe, high-quality patient care while serving as a clinical leader and operational manager for the nursing team.
The Nurse Manager acts as a role model, advisor, and resource, driving excellence in neuro and telemetry patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily operations of the neuroscience nursing unit
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff
- Support stroke center compliance standards
- Act as clinical and operational leader
- Maintain quality, safety, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Active Registered Nurse license (Maryland or eligible)
- BSN required (Master’s preferred)
- 3+ years Hospital Nurse Manager experience
- 2+ years direct Neuro nursing experience
- Neuro/Telemetry clinical background
- BLS and ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification within 90 days
