Pay: $140,000 – $150,000 per year for full-time
Lotus Psychotherapy and The Refuge are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our growing clinical team. We are a locally owned, CARF-accredited, large outpatient clinic committed to providing high-quality mental health and substance use treatment services to our community. As we continue expanding our services, we are looking for a skilled and compassionate PMHNP who is passionate about collaborative, evidence-based care.
The ideal candidate will have experience prescribing for adults presenting with a variety of mental health and substance use concerns and will feel confident working as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychiatric assessments, prescribe medication, monitor patient responses, and complete clinical documentation within 72 hours.
- Administer and manage medications, communicate with patients regarding treatment needs, provide therapeutic support, and collaborate closely with therapists and other members of the clinical team to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, substance use concerns, medication options, treatment planning, and ongoing care recommendations.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations, clinical standards, and organizational policies.
- Provide a minimum of 20 hours of medication management services and/or participation in multidisciplinary treatment team responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the clinic’s interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that support high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based care.
- Independently manage scheduling, prescriptions submitted through the EHR, and prior authorizations as needed.
- Manage prescription refills and triage pharmacy authorization needs that cannot otherwise be resolved by administrative staff.
- Communicate effectively with therapists, administrative staff, patients, and families to support continuity of care.
- Master’s degree in Nursing, MSN or higher, required.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner license required.
- DEA Certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of psychiatry experience required.
- Minimum of 4 years of direct mental health care experience required.
- Previous experience in psychiatric nursing, outpatient mental health, substance use treatment, or behavioral health settings strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, documentation, and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
- Knowledge of psychiatric care, medication management, medical terminology, clinical documentation, and healthcare compliance expectations.
