Luminis Health is hiring a mid‑level Nursing Graduate
- Labor and Delivery Cohort August 2026. This is a full‑time role located in Annapolis, MD.
The Nursing Graduate will practice solely under the direct supervision of a registered nurse who is physically present on the unit. The responsibilities include:
- Co‑sign medication transcription, medication administration, and nursing documentation.
- Continuously observe, assist, coordinate, evaluate, and monitor the Nursing Graduate.
- Transcribe medication orders per written policies and procedures after skill validation.
- Administer medications and controlled substances, and sign controlled substances sheets.
- Document in the medical record using the abbreviation NG.
- Perform patient assessments after the initial assessment or after the first assessment of the shift performed by the registered nurse.
- Perform and document routine procedures taught within the generic nursing program, including placing nasogastric tubes, performing urinary catheterizations, applying sterile dressings, performing blood sugar checks, and obtaining specimens.
Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program and eligible to sit for the NCLEX exam. The Nursing Graduate shall cease practice immediately if they fail two attempts at the NCLEX exam or have not successfully passed the NCLEX within 120 days of application to the board of nursing.
Applicants must not:
- Work without the physical presence of and direct supervision by a registered nurse.
- Refer to themselves or practice as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
- Be considered a staff person for staffing pattern purposes.
- Accept charge responsibilities.
- Perform the initial patient assessment or first assessment of a shift, develop patient plans of care, evaluate or document patient discharge, or independently administer medications or intravenous therapy.
$25 — $30 USD
