The Registered Nurse
- Hospice is responsible for providing care, comfort and support to terminally ill patients. The Registered Nurse
- Hospice assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of hospice patient care in various settings. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. The Registered Nurse will also demonstrate critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care. Consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse license for the state in which the nurse practices.
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Position Details

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (some flexibility with start/end times), 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $55/hour
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Hospice RN for a 13-week contract assignment covering Southern Prince George's County, with occasional coverage in Anne Arundel County. This role is expected to start ASAP and functions in a Case Manager capacity, overseeing patient care plans, medication and supply orders, and coordinating hospice services.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate hospice patient care plans
- Conduct patient visits in homes, long-term care facilities, and assisted living communities
- Order medications and medical supplies as needed
- Provide clinical assessments and ongoing case management
- Participate in on-call triage coverage for one weekend day, as needed
Coverage Area:
Southern Prince George's County, with potential floating to Anne Arundel County
Caseload & Visits:
- Average caseload of 15–20 patients
- Approximately 5 patient visits per day
Mileage & Travel:
- Mileage reimbursement provided
- Candidate will use their own vehicle for travel between patient locations
- No patient transportation required
