Overview
We are more than a Parts Store and are looking for great talent to join our NAPA family. As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you are the “face of the retail store” and the go-to person for customers entering our stores for automotive needs. You should have a background and knowledge of automotive parts. This role is suitable whether you plan to build a long-term career with us as a Parts Specialist, want to work full-time or part-time, or simply want to explore other opportunities within the company.
Whatyou will be doing
- Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter and over the phone
- Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members with customer questions
- Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the NAPA Store
- Bring customer focus and high energy to a fast-paced store
- Welcome retail customers and engage to provide a positive consumer experience
- Use technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn all things auto parts
- High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers
- Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm equipment, diesel, marine, or dealership
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
- Customer-centric approach (external/internal)
- ASE Certifications

This position offers an hourly pay of $18.50. Pay progression may apply, with some roles starting at a set rate and reaching the top end of the range within 12 months of hire. The starting rate for other positions will be based on individual skills, experience, and qualifications.
