Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a fast-growing communications company supporting mission-critical operations to identify a Strategic Account Executive to join their sales team. This individual will be responsible for driving new business, expanding existing accounts, and building long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate is a consultative seller with experience navigating complex sales cycles, engaging executive-level stakeholders, and consistently exceeding revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities- Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close.
- Drive new logo acquisition while identifying expansion opportunities within existing strategic accounts.
- Develop and execute targeted account plans to penetrate new departments, business units, and decision-makers.
- Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, Linked In outreach, and other business development efforts.
- Partner closely with Business Development, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to maximize account growth and client retention.
- Conduct business reviews with clients and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasting, and account plans within CRM tools.
- Consistently achieve and exceed revenue goals through a combination of new business and account expansion.
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably selling SaaS or technology.
- Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Proven track record selling to mid-market organizations, or an ambitious seller from smaller accounts ready to expand into mid-market and enterprise.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, competitive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
