Sales Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sales Consultant for our La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Annapolis, MD. The role involves guiding high-end clients through a premium sales experience, creating inspired spaces, and curating luxury looks while earning unlimited commissions.

• Drive sales to contribute to store sales goals.
• Promote the Design program and assist the designer to achieve established sales goals.
• Execute the La-Z-Boy selling process and provide a favorable experience to all customers.
• Develop and utilize sales skills including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, customized portfolio presentations, objection handling, closing, follow‑up, after‑sale service and continuing contact with customers.
• Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
• Maintain knowledge of product features and benefits of existing and new product lines.
• Schedule professional home consultations for customized room designs.
• Support design related functions in store.
• Provide highest level of customer service and uphold company selling process.
• Use Podium to ensure customer satisfaction and follow‑up.
• Make business decisions to promote team environment.
• Help train, coach and develop new peers.
• Maintain visual appearance of store, including displays, catalogues, design center fabrics.
• Accurately complete order information, deposits, fees, customer records, and research payments and deliveries.
• Complete daily On‑Point system logs.
• Schedule deliveries, manage opening/closing of store.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience, especially in luxury retail preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
• Time management and ability to handle competing priorities.
• Team player with initiative to meet goals.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays and travel as required.
• Pass background and drug screen.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

Base Pay $11.50 per hour (varies by store location).

Commission Uncapped commission on sales (2%‑6% depending on product).

Bonus Quarterly bonus up to $3,500 based on meeting individual sales goals.
