ICS Security is currently hiring Security Officers to join our growing team in the Annapolis area. We’re looking for dependable, motivated individuals who take pride in helping make their communities safer and more secure.

Important Update (Effective January 1, 2025):

All applicants without a Maryland Security Guard Certification must complete the MPCTC state‑mandated 12-hour Security Guard Course before beginning work.
ICS offers this course in‑office to selected candidates. Details will be provided during the interview process.

As a Security Officer with ISC Security, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding our clients’ properties, employees, customers, and communities. This site involves work in
educational facilities such as high schools
. You’ll act as a visible deterrent, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a secure environment.

At select school locations, you may also assist with weapon-detection screening
, including operating walk-through metal detectors or handheld wands, supporting orderly student entry, and following established procedures when prohibited items are identified. Your professionalism and attention to detail help create a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

• Observe and accurately report incidents to supervisors and clients
• Write detailed daily activity reports
• Provide peace of mind and exceptional service to our clients and their communities
• Perform weapon-detection screening at designated high school locations, including operating walk-through metal detectors or handheld wands in accordance with school and ISC policies
• Assist school staff in maintaining a safe and orderly entry process for students, staff, and visitors
• Respond professionally to alerts and follow established procedures when prohibited items are detected

• Reliable transportation
• Active Maryland Guard Card (required – out-of-state licenses not accepted)
• Valid, non‑expired state‑issued
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

• Valid driver’s license (required for mobile patrol positions)

No prior security experience required!
