Principal Senior Vulnerability Research Engineer
Nightwing provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration, and intelligence mission support services. We are looking for a Vulnerability Researcher to use advanced systems to find zero-day vulnerabilities, analyze and design programmatic behaviors, develop, test, and debug software applications, and provide research and new design ideas for vulnerability techniques.
Responsibilities- Identify zero-day vulnerabilities using advanced instrumentation and analysis techniques.
- Design and implement exploitation mechanisms for vulnerability identification.
- Develop, test, and debug custom tools and scripts in C, C++, or Python.
- Conduct program analysis, reverse engineering, and debugging of proprietary or third-party software.
- Produce detailed technical reports and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Minimum 12 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or 10 years with a master’s degree).
- Solid software development experience in C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with program analysis, reverse engineering, and debugging tools such as angr, BAP, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, Ghidra, gdb, windbg.
- Proficiency with Windows or Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of x86/x64 assembly language.
- Security clearance TS/SCI CI Poly preferred.
- Place of performance:
Maryland.
- Understanding of OS internals of major operating systems.
- Experience with exploit development platforms such as Hack The Box.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols and socket programming.
- Experience with exploit mitigations such as DEP and ASLR.
- Experience reading and writing assembly code.
- Relevant security certifications (OSCP, OSCE, OSWP, OSEP, OSWE, OSED, OSEE, GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, CISSP) — not required.
Salary range: $122,000-$253,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
