Job SummaryMaintains and repairs facilities, ensuring all building, grounds, fixtures, and equipment operate safely and efficiently. Performs work in multiple trades including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair work across at least two trade areas: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, or painting.
- Maintain work order log, track progress, and report status to supervisor.
- Log trouble calls with contractors as necessary.
- Conduct plumbing repairs such as fixing sinks, faucets, toilets, drain traps, valves, and installing water heaters or garbage disposals.
- Perform routine washer/dryer maintenance and diagnostics.
- Assist with HVAC system repairs and identify causes of equipment failure.
- Identify and fix electrical problems, replace lighting fixtures and ballasts.
- Execute carpentry tasks: cutting, constructing, and repairing wood or wood‑substitute items, replacing screens, window frames, molding, trim, drywall, etc.
- Prepare surfaces and apply paint coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Perform semi‑skilled and unskilled tasks related to facility operation and maintenance.
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards through documented inspection reports.
- Follow standard operating procedures and refer unresolved issues to supervisor.
- Assist with facility maintenance requests from guests or front desk, completing assignments independently.
- Minimum two years of experience combining skills in at least two of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or painting.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, including safe use of tools, equipment, chemicals, and protective gear.
- Completion of required safety and security training.
- Valid state driver license may be required for travel between facilities.
- Ability to perform standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Capacity to lift, move, and carry loads up to 45 pounds unaided, 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to work in uncomfortable positions, stairs, ladders, and outdoor environments with variable weather.
- Use of personal protective equipment provided.
