Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Use project drawings to interpret installation requirements accurately and thoroughly.
- Delegate tasks to fitters, mechanics, and assistants to meet deadlines and scheduling requirements.
- Install and test fire suppression equipment in new or retrofit construction projects.
- Follow designed plans and communicate needed design changes to accommodate site requirements.
- Manage materials delivered to site and perform minor fabrication on the job site.
- Update daily installation progress notes on job contract drawings.
- Escalate necessary changes to the manager.
- Instruct and train helpers, apprentices, and other personnel in basic processes, repair, and system installation.
- Accurately complete and maintain all paperwork.
- Maintain vehicle and tools as per company policy.
- Use hand tools, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic power tools.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
- Working knowledge of pipe fitting, plumbing regulations, and fire protection codes.
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record to drive company vehicle.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety.
- Knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work.
- Ability to review official documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Lead capacity.
- Ability to recognize and report deviations through inspection programs.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to use or repair small/light equipment such as power tools, ladders, and medium equipment and machinery.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and sometimes lift and/or move heavy objects.
- Requires balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity.
$35‑$40 per hour DOE
