Approximately 3-Month Position | Full-Time | W-2 | $30/Hour

Ace Handyman Services Annapolis is looking for an experienced, well-rounded Craftsman to join our team for an approximately three-month temporary assignment.

We're looking for someone who already knows their way around residential repair and improvement work and can confidently walk into a customer's home, assess what needs to be done, communicate clearly, and get to work.

This position is being created to meet a temporary staffing need, and we're looking for someone who can commit to working consistently throughout the approximately three-month assignment.

There may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent position afterward based on business needs, performance, and mutual fit, but continued employment is not guaranteed.

$30 per hour | Full-time W-2 employment

In addition to hourly pay, Craftsmen receive a service charge for scheduled customer appointments to help compensate for the use and operating costs of their personal vehicle. Additional service-charge compensation applies when assigned outside their normal service area.

This position will primarily serve customers in the greater Annapolis area, with some travel to our Mid-Eastern Shore service area as business needs require.

Candidates who live elsewhere in our broader Maryland service area, including the Mid-Eastern Shore, and are comfortable traveling to Annapolis for scheduled work are encouraged to apply.

We make every effort to schedule customer appointments efficiently and geographically group daily assignments to minimize unnecessary travel between jobs.

Our Craftsmen handle a wide variety of residential repair, maintenance, and improvement projects. No two days are quite the same.

Typical work may include:

Carpentry and trim

Drywall repair and finishing

Interior and exterior painting

Door and window repairs

Cabinet installation and adjustment

Flooring and tile repairs

Minor plumbing repairs within the scope of handyman work

Fixture and hardware installation

Deck, fence, and exterior repairs

General home maintenance and punch-list projects

We're not expecting you to be an expert in every trade. We are looking for someone with strong core skills, good problem-solving ability, and enough experience to know what you can handle safely and professionally and when something is outside your scope.

Skill matters, but so does how you work.

Our ideal Craftsman:

Has solid professional experience in residential repair, remodeling, maintenance, or a related trade

Is dependable and shows up when and where they're scheduled

Can work independently without needing constant direction

Troubleshoots problems and looks for solutions

Communicates well with customers and the office

Takes pride in workmanship and leaves the customer's home clean

Is comfortable working in occupied homes and understands that customer experience matters

Can accurately document work performed and follow established company procedures and workflows

Understands that scheduling, pricing, and customer commitments are handled through the company

Is professional, personable, and easy to work with

Has a valid driver's license and safe driving record

Is comfortable traveling within our Annapolis and Mid-Eastern Shore service areas as scheduled

We're especially interested in the experienced Craftsman who has learned that being great at this work isn't just about knowing how to swing a hammer. Reliability, judgment, communication, and taking care of the customer are every bit as important as technical skill.

Candidates must have:

Their own reliable transportation suitable for traveling between customer appointments

A vehicle that is clean, reliable, and appropriate for professional use at customer homes

Their own standard hand and power tools necessary to perform professional handyman and home-repair work

A valid driver's license and safe driving record
