Java Developer Poly

Big Bear.ai is seeking a Java Developer to work on a fast-moving software engineering team supporting a microservice ecosystem with several UIs. This position will be based out of Ft. Meade, Maryland. The team is highly collaborative, and engineers are encouraged to help drive system design. The candidate will be working with mission very closely and interacting with customers daily.

This position will work on site in Annapolis Junction, MD.

• Develop and maintain Java microservice web applications.
• Work closely with tech lead on technical decisions and product roadmap.
• Resolve challenging software engineering design problems.
• Interact with the customer to resolve issues and propose new features.
• Support testing and deployment of production applications.

• 3 years of technical experience and a B.S. in a technical discipline, experience may be considered in lieu of experience.
• An active TS/SCI with FSP clearance.
• Experience with design, debugging, and problem solving with Java.
• Experience with RESTful web applications.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience interacting with Mongo
  
  DB or similar database technology.
• Experience with automated testing.

• Full stack experience including UI development with JavaScript (Vue.js).
• Experience with Kafka.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Linux administration.
• Experience with automated build tools, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
