Job DescriptionGlia Cell is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer for a full‑time position supporting a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems to a large government contract.
Key Requirements- Possess an active or rein‑statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance. (Polygraph within 7 years)
- U.S. Citizenship
- 5+ years of experience and a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in math, artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, or deep learning from an accredited college or university; or 5 additional years of machine learning experience with a relevant Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
- Experience with standard machine learning frameworks, e.g. PyTorch, Tensor Flow.
- Work well independently as well as on a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Select appropriate data sets
- Perform statistical analysis
- Run machine learning algorithms
- Use results to improve models
- Train and retrain systems when needed
- Experience in working with various ML libraries and packages
- Run standard test and evaluation protocols
- Provide system integration oversight
- Oversee test and evaluation of AI and ML algorithms through an iterative design process to meet verification and validation requirements
- Research and implement a broad range of AI and ML algorithms and tools
- Design or select appropriate data and knowledge representation methods
- Recognize software architecture, data modelling, and data structures
- Transform and convert data science prototypes into scalable solutions
- Verify data and model output quality
- Identify differences in data distribution that affect model performance
Annapolis Junction, Maryland (partial telework of 16 hours per week is expected). Telework granted for this position does not become available until after the individual has been in the position for a period of time, has acclimated to tasking/duties, and has meaningful work that can be done remotely. Telework can also be removed at any time.
Salary RangeThe salary range for this full‑time position is $170,000 to $260,000.
