IMPORTANT – READ BEFORE APPLYINGThis is a Java-heavy development role. Candidates must have 1–3 years of hands‑on Java experience in an enterprise environment (banking, financial services, or similar large‑scale environments preferred). Messaging technologies (MQ, JMS, etc.) are nice‑to‑have only, not required. All candidates must be local to Annapolis, MD and able to work on‑site four days per week.

You will be working on mission‑critical applications that process high volumes of aviation data and directly support airline operations and global travel infrastructure. These systems must be highly reliable and always available, making this a great environment for engineers coming from structured, enterprise or banking backgrounds.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications
- Work on high-throughput, highly reliable systems
- Assist with application upgrades and modernization efforts
- Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on core platform improvements
- Participate across the full SDLC
- 1–3 years of hands‑on Java development experience
- Experience working in enterprise environments (banking, financial services, or similar strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting production‑level applications
- Understanding of object‑oriented programming principles
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work on‑site in Annapolis, MD four days per week
- Exposure to messaging technologies: JMS, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ
- Experience integrating Java applications with messaging systems
- Linux/Unix experience
- Agile environment experience
- Bachelor’s degree + 1–3 years of experience OR Equivalent professional experience
You’ll be supporting systems that are critical to the aviation industry within a highly regulated aerospace and defense environment. The work directly impacts operational reliability for airlines and global travel.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
