Freedom Technology Solutions Group is hiring a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Java-based microservices that support geospatial data processing and visualization for mission‑critical applications. The role supports scalable, high‑performance services, works with both relational and No
SQL databases, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Java microservices with an emphasis on geospatial functionality.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into scalable, robust software solutions.
- Lead technical design and implementation of geospatial features, ensuring alignment with architecture and mission objectives.
- Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical expertise during planning and execution.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members to maintain high‑quality code and adherence to best practices.
- TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- At least 20 years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field; or four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- In‑depth knowledge of Java and associated frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.).
- Experience with cloud‑based development and deployment.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of GIS principles and applications.
