The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real‑time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.

Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software tradeoffs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) / Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system-level to individual software components.

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

• Experience with object-oriented programming language constructs
• Experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred)
• Experience developing with interpreted languages, such as Python
• Strong foundation in test-driven development (TDD) practices
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, K8s, Helmcharts)

• Experience with the Go programming language and concurrent/parallel processing patterns
• Experience with Type Script and Angular framework for web application development
• Experience with stream processing systems (Kafka, Redis Streams, AMQP, Redpanda Connect/Benthos)
• Possession of excellent customer relations skills, including managing requirements for feature requests
• Experience with web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1)
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and concepts (AWS preferred)
• Experience with agentic development workflows and AI-assisted coding tools
• Familiarity with the Atlassian suite of tools for project management (Jira, Confluence)

Erias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience, is $215,000 - $258,000.
