Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver

Halethorpe, MD – $16.00/hr – Full Time

Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 1:00pm (potential to end around 2:00pm based on business needs).

Location-based driving throughout the state or Maryland.

• Drive company-owned vehicle, transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail and related materials.
• Operate hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean, neat, orderly vehicle.
• Perform route duties, adapt to varying client and business needs; route assignments may change.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative Med Speed team culture.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• 19 years of age with active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Successful completion of initial and random drug & alcohol screening.
• Must be able to drive a non-commercial vehicle on various roads and weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (dependent on location and local mandates).
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to handle varying item weights and physical demands.
• Ability to lift items off storage racks.
• Comfortable walking long distances and standing for long periods.
