Warehouse Associate

Position Description

Ryder is hiring permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Associates in Elkridge, MD.

Pay and

Schedule:

• Hourly Pay $20.00 per hour;
  Overtime $30.00 per hour.
• Schedule Monday–Friday 7:00 am–5:00 pm, with overtime as required.

Job Overview: Work in our safe supply chain environment handling furniture, home decor, and heavy touch items using electric pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and RF scanners.

• Package, kit, and assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensuring accurate scanning and training dock employees on new procedures.
• Secure the facility at shift end, investigate scanning issues, and maintain housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties, check for product or container damage.
• Handle materials within associated logical and physical transactions according to policies.
• Participate in work groups and team activities for improvement of warehouse operations.
• Perform housekeeping duties for the assigned area.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months of related warehouse experience (one year preferred).
• Ability to operate powered industrial trucks (forklift, cherry picker, pallet jack) and maintain them. Certification required.
• Experience with manual or automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Basic math and reading in English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Proficiency in using WMS computer system.
• Work overtime as assigned.
• Strong teamwork and independence skills, capacity to multi‑task and stay organized.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices.
