Duties
Incumbent will execute assigned safety and occupational health program(s) to meet regulatory and mission requirements.
Investigate and analyze accidents occurring in munitions and industrial areas to determine cause and contributing factors; prepares written accident reports concerning findings.
Assist senior safety specialists in the development of safety criteria for new equipment and facilities in munitions and industrial areas.
Conducts surveys and inspections of buildings, structures, shop equipment areas, work practices, operations, facilities, mechanical processes and personnel to determine adequacy of safety program in assigned organizational element.
Identify and evaluate conditions which may be hazardous to workers health and safety and recommends corrective measures/solutions to eliminate or control those hazards.
