The Tyler Union and M&H Valve Group, a division of McWane, Inc., is the nation’s leading manufacturer of ductile iron waterworks fittings and appurtenances. We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Recruiter located in our foundry in Anniston, AL.

Job Responsibilities
  • Recruitment
    • Manage end‑to‑end recruiting for hourly and salaried positions across the foundry
    • Post job openings on internal and external job boards
    • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, job requirements, and hiring timelines
    • Develop and maintain engaging job postings for skilled trades, production, and supervisory roles
    • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate candidate assessments
    • Set appointments for onsite interviews and tours
  • Talent Pipeline Development
    • Proactively source candidates through job boards, community outreach, trade schools, unions, and social media
    • Build pipelines for high‑turnover roles
    • Maintain relationships with local workforce development organizations, technical schools, and staffing partners
    • Participate in job fairs and hiring events to attract candidates
  • HR Customer Service
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience from application through onsite interview
    • Coordinate interviews, plant tours, and pre‑employment processes (background checks, drug screens, physicals) as necessary
    • Communicate effectively with candidates regarding status and expectations to ensure timely disposition
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations for postings
    • Maintain accurate recruiting records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Relationship Building
    • Work closely with HR and operations to support workforce planning initiatives
    • Provide market insights on labor trends and hiring challenges
    • Assist with onboarding coordination to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the plant
  • Confidentiality – Maintain complete confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the position
  • HRIS System – Actively use the HRIS system
  • Training
    • Backup for HR new hire orientation and facilitate other HR training programs (KCA) as needed
    • Assist with orientation and first‑day logistics, as needed
  • Knowledge – Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development, or related field
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of recruitment experience in a heavy manufacturing industry
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Physical & Cognitive Abilities

  • Regular plant walks required; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn, including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats

Work Environment

This is a traditional office position with hands‑on training in the facility and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, moving machinery, dust, fumes, gases, odors, vibrations, and noise levels. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
