Position: Information Technology Specialist (Sys Admin)

This position is located in Anniston, Alabama at the Center for Domestic Preparedness. The ideal candidate will have experiential and theoretical knowledge of current Information Technology (IT) concepts, protocols, principals, and methods to include but not limited to maintenance of server software, hardware, databases, cloud hosting, security, and interoperability.

You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies listed below

AND in addition to meeting the above competencies, you must also meet the specialized experience and time in grade for the General Schedule (GS) listed below in order to be found qualified for the position.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for this position at the GS-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

Responding to, analyzing, and resolving virtual and hardware system failures; AND
Providing administration of virtual and hardware platforms; AND
Applying information systems security principles and methods; AND
Managing environments with cloud and on-premise systems.
