Position: Fiberglass Coating Specialist (Internal Applicants Only) - 2nd Shift

In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality fiberglass coatings to various components, ensuring each product meets our stringent quality standards.

The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise and a keen eye for detail, allowing them to excel in preparing surfaces, mixing resins, and ensuring proper application techniques. Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for fiberglass coating application by cleaning and sanding as needed.
  • Mix resins and hardeners according to specifications to ensure proper application consistency.
  • Apply fiberglass coatings to components using either brush or spray techniques to achieve desired thickness and finish.
  • Monitor the curing process and environmental conditions to ensure optimal coating quality.
  • Perform quality control inspections on finished products to identify any defects or areas for improvement.
  • Maintain equipment and tools used in the coating process to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a fiberglass coating specialist or in a similar role within the composites industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fiberglass materials, resins, and application techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and product guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
