As a Tool & Die Technician-Level 3 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for fabricating, modifying, and repairing precision tools, dies, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. This role requires specialized experience working in an aerospace environment with aerospace-grade materials such as Inconel 625 or similar alloys. You must have proven expertise handling dies with very tight tolerances and working with extremely thin materials, including products as thin as .008 inches.

Additionally, you will apply your strong troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve die-related issues, ensuring tooling meets quality standards and production requirements. Your technical expertise will play a critical role in supporting efficient and accurate manufacturing operations. You will report directly to our Tooling Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Anniston, AL location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the manufacturing quality and productivity of Honeywell’s Aerospace business by maintaining and enhancing tooling capabilities that support the production of high‑precision aerospace components.

5:30 a.m.

- 4:00 p.m.

- 4X10 (Monday - Thursday).

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, maintain, and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to precise specifications using various machine shop equipment and hand tools.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure tooling meets design and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot tooling issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience in tool and die making or precision machining within a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
  • Experience working in an aerospace environment with aerospace-grade materials such as Inconel 625 or similar alloys.
  • Proven experience handling dies with very tight tolerances, including working with extremely thin materials (product thickness as low as .008 inches).
  • Strong capability to troubleshoot and rapidly resolve die‑related issues to minimize production delays.
  • Demonstrated expertise in fabricating, modifying, and repairing precision tooling that meets minimal aerospace tolerances for both dies and finished products.
  • Strong knowledge of machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines to fabricate and repair tooling.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools to ensure tooling quality and compliance.
