Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU/Stepdown position in Alabama, requiring strong cardiac monitoring experience and the ability to work every other weekend on night shifts.
Responsibilities- Progressive Care Unit (PCU/Stepdown) in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiac and telemetry monitoring cases
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Required to float to Med/Surg units
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Prior experience in MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown settings required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility are considered; local candidates are subject to a reduced pay rate
- All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of contract confirmation — no RTO will be approved after the contract is confirmed
- Schedules cannot be adjusted once the contract is confirmed
- Scheduling accommodations around other per diem schedules or contracts are not available
- Active Alabama RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
- Ability to start IVs, manage Heparin protocols, and manage cardiac drips (no titration) required
