Travel:

Ability to travel to Ft. Hood, TX for maintenance, fielding, and retrofit activities

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of general mechanical maintenance experience (Abrams Family of Tanks preferred)
• Basic knowledge of tools and test equipment used for military vehicle maintenance
• Must meet anthropometric requirements (ASR) for entry into enclosed military vehicles (requirements are attached)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, climb, and operate in extreme temperatures/weather

Insight Global is seeking an Abrams Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Anniston, Alabama area. This mechanic needs to have experience working with Abrams tanks specifically. These mechanics will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification work on multiple Abrams Tank variants. Daily responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance checks and services, installing modification work orders, and interpreting troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures for vehicle systems, subsystems, and components.

The mechanic will maintain accountability of special tools and test equipment, support fielding and retrofit activities, and work closely with both leadership and government personnel. Additional duties will be assigned by maintenance leadership as needed.

$19/hr to $23/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
