Overview
At Sparklight, a Cable One brand, we keep our customers and associates connected to what matters most. As a Field Technician, you will help your community stay connected by installing services in residential and commercial properties, completing repairs, and relocating existing equipment.
Responsibilities- Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and business properties.
- Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot drops or outlets, diagnose and repair reception performance issues, and resolve problems from customer’s equipment to the first distribution amplifier.
- Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each termination on the customer’s premises.
- Proactively suggest upgrades of existing services and educate customers on use of their new/existing equipment.
- Take on other duties needed to support our purpose, fulfill brand principles, and abide by organization values.
- Good driving record and a valid driver’s license in the state you are applying.
- Aptitude and ability to learn to use RF, digital and Volt‑Ohm meters and related equipment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and on‑call as needed.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to listen to customers and present solutions positively.
- Physical ability to work in small and confined areas, lift up to 80 lbs., work on a ladder, and work in all weather conditions.
- At least 3 months of customer service or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
