- Responsibilities:
Plans, constructs, and repairs a variety of supply, shipping, and storage containers and similar items;
Works from incomplete plans and makes modifications as needed;
Checks items of a difficult nature to be boxed or crated against shipping documents or invoices to ensure correct identification, quantity and condition;
Moves heavy equipment into position on prepared supporting platforms using hoists, jib cranes or requesting the assistance of riggers and crane operators;
Packs materials and equipment in standard/non-standard boxes or crates using proper wrappings, liners, or other protective devices in accordance with proper packing procedures
