Carfair Composites is seeking a qualified Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all production equipment operates efficiently and safely. This position involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various machinery and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and the ability to work on complex problems under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies for repairs.
  • Document all maintenance activities and repairs in the maintenance management system.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to ensure minimal downtime during repairs.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes.
  • Train and mentor junior staff as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as necessary.
