Warehouse Specialist, Anniston, AL

Technica is seeking a Warehouse Specialist for support of the DLA Anniston, AL Distribution Center.

This is a 4 x 10 hour shift schedule, weekdays.

Work involves most of the following:

* Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents

* Noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages

* Routing materials to prescribed storage locations

* Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods

* Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials

* Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage

* Constructing and repairing boxes, pallets, wood bracing to be used in shipping and storage, as needed.

* Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

Requirements:

* This worker will be trained and licensed on the operation of hand or power trucks and MHE for performing warehousing duties.

* Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions to include intense heat, heavy wind, blowing sand, heavy rain, snow, and sleet.

* Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.

* Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

* Must have a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, and other established guidelines

* Must be able to lift 40 pounds
