Position: Behavior Specialist in School Setting | Anoka, Minnesota

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by serving as an onsite Behavior Intervention Specialist during the 25/26 school year. Youll provide essential support across 3-4 school sites, collaborating closely with a dedicated behavior intervention team and SpEd Administrator. This contract role offers full-time hours (typically 8:30 am to 4:10 pm, 37.5 hours/week) and the chance to truly help students thrive in a positive and inclusive educational environment.

Qualifications
  • BCBA certification or a valid Tier 3 or 4 SpEd Teacher license required
  • School-based experience with positive behavior interventions and supports preferred
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for team-based problem solving
  • Familiarity with conducting functional behavior assessments
  • Calm, flexible, and responsive under pressure able to use de-escalation techniques effectively
  • Experience maintaining compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines in special education
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with educators to consult, implement, and reinforce positive behavior interventions and supports for students
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and assist in developing individualized plans
  • Train staff on evidence-based behavioral strategies and interventions
  • Support implementation of IEPs, ensuring best practices and compliance
  • Responsibly apply restrictive procedures if necessary to maintain safety
  • Use data to guide decisions, monitor progress, and adjust programming for student success
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment across multiple campuses
  • Foster communication and cooperative relationships within faculty teams
