Adult Basic Ed Literacy Assistant - Data Support

Adult Education Center - Columbia Heights/Fridley, 4111 Central Ave NE, Columbia Heights

Part‑Time – 12 months, 133 days, 8 hrs/day

MONDAY – WEDNESDAY (Mon and Wed split shifts AM and PM)

• Conduct ESL intake registration/placement and progress testing (in person and online) for incoming multilingual adult learners of English.
• Assist in orienting students to distance learning platforms and support students' use of the programs.
• Communicate with staff, work closely with teachers and intake/assessment staff.
• Assist with administering the standardized tests of CASAS, BEST PLUS, and TABE.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to be flexible and function well in an environment that is busy and features an ethnically and culturally diverse population.

• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Experience with ESL learners preferred.
• Experience working with adults in an ABE/ESL academic program preferred.
• High comfort level in using technology (including excel/google sheets) preferred.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

$17.17/hr to $23.72/hr
