Community Education Specialists - Community School Programs

Instructors are responsible for delivery of more specialized topics that could include Music, World Languages & Cultures, Theatre, ASL, Robotics, and Woodworking to Community School Programs for Elementary and Middle School aged students.

Elementary and Middle Schools

Duties include:

• Class planning /curriculum development
• Provide student safety and program presentation
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Relevant work experience and previous experience in the subject matter
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions
• Must be physically working at the building/onsite

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant work experience and previous experience with community school activities preferred
• Advanced training or college degree preferred
• Previous experience working with elementary and middle school aged students preferred

Rate of Pay: $23.57-$36.39/hour
