Job Description
The mission of the department is to provide support to students as well as to facilitate efficient pathways for secondary students to earn college credit. The department is dedicated to working on issues of equity and inclusivity of diverse populations.
This position exists to create, promote, facilitate, and manage all operations of summer bridge programs, youth camps, K12 partnerships and other related career exploration events. This position will aim to increase youth and parent interest in career and technical education, prepare students for transitioning to college, and overall connect people with the appropriate college resources based on a variety of constituencies and changing needs.
This position holds broad authority to direct, grow, and enhance the college-wide post-secondary enrollment options (PSEO) and Concurrent Enrollment programs. This position will assist with Enrollment Services efforts with student appointments, information sessions, Orientation, One-Stops, Jumpstarts, Open Houses, and other related events.
Salary Range:
$25.67 - $37.26/hour
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year of experience in outreach, event planning, customer service, financial aid, or other (1) year of professional experience related to student life, student support, admissions and/or enrollment services. (An associate degree could be substituted for 6 months of experience, a bachelor’s for 12 months, and a master’s for 18 months.)
Experience in project management and event planning, including the ability to coordinate complex programs from conception through completion.
Ability to create, plan, implement, and maintain educational programming
Ability to meet deadlines and maintain calmness and professionalism in high-stress situations
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships between college personnel and external stakeholders
Commitment to equity and inclusive service to diverse, multicultural student population
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Experience working with career and technical education
Experience with Summer Scholars or other summer bridge programming
Prior involvement with student life and/or student activities coordination
Knowledge of concurrent enrollment and PSEO programs
Experience working with admissions or enrollment services teams
