Busy engineering and manufacturing company has an opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. Direct-hire position with very competitive benefits!
Duties- Design and develop special application machines, robotic systems and fixtures
- Use Solidworks to create detailed models and assemblies
- Conduct engineering analysis (FEA and tolerance stack-up studies)
- Act as technical lead on assigned projects
- Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Design experience with automation, fixtures, CNC machining, robotics or precision tooling
- Solidworks proficiency
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to conduct FEA, stress analysis and tolerance studies
