Senior Electrical Controls Engineer
This position is responsible for the electrical design including schematic design, writing new PLC and HMI programs, and the startup and troubleshooting of custom web converting and coating equipment.
Essential functions include developing applications of controls and systems including PLC and HMI development, providing support and field questions during the manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing processes, performing operation, software maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations, keeping current with the latest technical innovations in electrical engineering and industrial controls, and operating independently or part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.

Education and experience required include a bachelor's degree in engineering:
Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, System, Controls or similar, 8+ years of experience with industrial controls in a project-based automation or machine design environment, PLC programming:
Allen Bradley, Siemens or Yaskawa, motion control programming of rotary and linear servo axes, HMI Development:
Visual , C#, Factory Talk, machine vision application development for inspection with Cognex, Keyence or similar platforms, competent in the use of Auto-Cad Electrical, and design electrical panels to meet UL 508A and electrical systems to meet NEC/IEC/CEC standards.
Competencies include positive teamwork orientation, customer/client focus, problem solving/analysis, technical capacity, communication proficiency (verbal and written), and ability to manage complex scopes of work on projects with aggressive schedules.
Position type, work environment & travel:
Full time, exempt, normal office environment, travel less than 10%.
Physical demands include sitting, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, standing occasionally, lifting or moving objects up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally, and specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
Salary range: $75,000 - $130,000 per year (DOE - Depending on Experience).
