Join an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) specializing in electronics manufacturing solutions for critical systems. They serve various industries, including aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial sectors. Their key services include surface mount technology (SMT), through-hole soldering, electro‑mechanical assembly, and comprehensive testing to ensure product reliability.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance and leadership of the business unit, with full accountability for growth, profitability, operational excellence, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role provides strategic and hands‑on leadership across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and site operations, while fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.

Business & Operational Leadership
  • Provide full leadership and oversight of all functions within the business unit, including engineering, manufacturing, process engineering, production, supply chain, production control, facilities, and quality.
  • Maintain full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management.
  • Establish, track, and continuously improve operational and financial performance metrics.
  • Evaluate business performance on an ongoing basis and implement corrective actions as needed.
Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop the management team to achieve daily operational objectives and long‑term strategic goals.
  • Recruit, support, and evaluate leadership and staff to ensure appropriate organizational structure and capability.
  • Foster a positive employee relations environment built on engagement, accountability, open communication, and continuous improvement.
Strategy, Growth & Customer Engagement
  • Establish short‑ and long‑term business objectives, plans, and policies aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to support global marketing initiatives, strategic planning, and identification of new business opportunities.
  • Support proposal development and provide executive guidance on customer solutions.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by ensuring excellence in quality, delivery, service, and risk management.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews with customers and executive leadership.
Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive a strong quality mindset across the organization and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO quality systems.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, safety requirements, and ethical business standards.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure commitment to a safe working environment and compliance with corporate HSE standards and processes.

What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging position

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field required
  • Master’s degree in Business or Operations Management preferred
Experience
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement environments
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven executive-level leadership with the ability to influence and motivate teams at all levels
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in strategic decision‑making within complex environments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L ownership
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO quality systems
  • Hands‑on leadership style with strong problem‑solving and change‑management capabilities
