CNC Grinder Position Summary

The CNC Grinder is responsible for keeping the grinding machines running with minimal assistance. This position will also perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specification, while checking parts for conformance to specifications.

Shift Available: 1st shift Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

CNC Grinding Duties and Responsibilities

* Provide a basic level of machining techniques

* Understand tool probing program, probing wheel packs, and tooling

* Troubleshoot and escalate concerns

* Make program changes and edits to control the lengths, land lengths, relief angles and core sizes, eliminate chatter, meet finish requirements, and adjust speeds and feeds

* Use measuring tools to inspect parts;
Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gage, Thread Gage, Indicators, Gage Pins, Gage Rings, Pressure Mic, Profilometer

* Use visual inspection equipment; CMM (PC-Dmis), Mirco-Vu, Contracer, Vision Gage, and Accu-edge cutting tool inspection system

Qualifications

CNC Grinding Requirements, Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* High School degree or equivalent (GED) is required

* CNC Machine operation experience

* Experience grinding, buffing, and deburring product

Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.

Pay Range

USD $23.08 - USD $33.46 /Yr.
